Let me tell you a story of a woman. She is a successful doctor, a consultant, a mother of 2 beautiful babies, with money flows in and she has no worries about finance at all.
I'm amazed by how she listens, encourages, assures and comforts her patients. She remembers each patient's name, when their partners passed away, when their newly born grandchildren reached 1st birthday, where to stop telling them about their cancer prognosis. She appreciates life.
She did things so efficiently sometimes i wonder how she could juggle the loads.
Today she cried after the last patient left. She told me that her husband has been abusing her and threatening to take away her children. Reason being she is the breadwinner of the family and he is unemployed and inferiority burns wild within him.
I didn't quite know how to react. This is what she told me:
1. Find a man who is willing to share life with you, who loves you.
2. You don't stop living just because you feel lauzy.
3. I think God still watches over all.
She feels bad that i haven't learnt much medically from her, but i learnt what's more than that.
